This is my second time around going from titles beginning from A to Z. Should have watched it on the first go-round, but glad it was here for #2.

Subject: Tom Breneman Excellent in "Breakfast in Hollywood"
What a delightful movie! Comedy, romance, music, old time Hollywood and wonderful Tom Breneman. "Breakfast in Hollywood" gains in stature as time distances us from a long ago period. Besides Breneman, Don McNeill's Breakfast Club (out of Chicago) was a weekday morning radio program, which my family enjoyed. Tom Breneman's show had a listening audience of 10 million, which was quite large since the USA population was 140 to 150 million during the time his program was aired.

Subject: Setting The Record Straight
The previous review really is a non-review and a dis-service to this picture. As a movie this is a very good relic of The Golden Age Of Radio. This was my grandmother's favorite program and she listened every day when I was a small boy around the old home place. This movie was very much like the radio program. Breneman himself was an amiable, personable pitchman and just silly enough to bring on the laughter and the smiles. For movie buffs this film is also a treat because of the number of very familiar actors and actresses doing cameos of all sorts. I wouldn't be surprised if Capitol Records had some money in this picture, as both Andy Russell and The Nat "King" Cole Trio were big artists on their label at the time. There was also a promotional booklet relating to this picture and it's making and the "Breakfast Club" in general, which Grandma kept for years. It was one of the first things I ever read. Two years after the release of this movie, Tom Breneman died at age 46. This film is a very spot on reflection of post war America, as well as lots of fun and very pleasant and was well recieved at the time by Breneman's estimated 10 million listeners. 1486 have viewed this thus far, so hopefully this review will do some good. Great sound and picture quality, super production values as well. Enjoy
